Oakfield Park, Raphoe
“THE SECRET JEWEL IN THE HEART OF DONEGAL” Sitting in a lush landscape of parklands and mature woodlands, overlooking the distant Croaghan Mountain, the grounds include a traditional walled garden and kitchen garden. The lower gardens consist of a large lake, planted with reeds and wild flowers. This is now home to swans and abundant wildlife. A Castle Folly built on the opposite shore provides stunning views.
Flower meadows, lakes and streams, as well as wild and wetland areas are entwined with over 4km of narrow gauge railway to give hours of pleasure. Discover willow tunnels, oak circles, boardwalks, several heritage trees, a par-terre and classical Nymphaeum by the upper lake.

Drumboe Woods, Stranorlar
At anytime of the year, this small wood provides several very pleasant hour long rambles. In Drumboe, you can view displays of bluebells in spring, watch the leaf colour change in autumn, enjoy an early morning stroll in summer or winter sun stream through the bare branches. There are three short trails way marked in the wood; the nature trail, the Multi Access Trail and the Drumboe Loop Trail. Lots of fairy doors to find keeping the children going for hours. A free, refreshing walk in the woods with family…need we say more!
The Fintown Railway is the only operational railway in Co. Donegal. Set amidst spectacular highland scenery overlooking Lough Finn, the railway (3 m/5km) is a restored section of the former County Donegal Railway. The railway is nestled deep in the heart of spectacular mountainous scenery. It is steeped in tradition, myth, folklore and runs along the crystal clear waters of Loch Finn – a million miles from the constant rush of everyday life.
Lifford Old Courthouse
Take a step back in time as you walk through Donegal’s 18th Century County Gaol and the gloomy cells that held both Irish legend “Half Hung MacNaghten” and the famous United Irishman James Napper Tandy. Junior Jailbreak is our brand new family friendly Live Escape Room. Locked in a cell for 30 minutes, our young convicts must work together as a team to ESCAPE before the 30 minute time limit expires and they become trapped for good. Junior Jailbreak brings our popular Jailbreak game to a whole new audience and is something that kids won’t forget in a hurry.
Dunmore Gardens, Carrigans
You will find Dunmore Gardens on the Donegal Garden Trail. Not only has it over 2.5 acres of flowers but, it also has intricate winding paths and ponds. The wonderful traditional walled garden dates back to 1742 and is set in 100 acres of farm and woodland surrounding Dunmore House, a lovely Georgian Country house.
Eclipse Cinemas Lifford Strabane
The cinema not only offers mainstream movies but it also shows classics throughout the year that are not available elsewhere such as The Quiet Man, Hocus Pocus and It’s A Wonderful Life. They also hold Family Fun days throughout the year depending on the release of films. Peppa Pig, George, PJ masks, Princesses and Superheroes have all made visits to this cinema. Finn Valley Centre, Stranorlar
This first class sports and community facility is one of the jewels in the crown of the famous Twin Towns. The current facility boasts a 35m indoor multi-purpose hall, two football pitches, two rugby pitches, four astro turf pitches, a warm up area, four changing rooms, a social area, an ensuite accommodation/office block, 1500m jogging trail, 400m synthetic track, a range of meeting/function rooms and state of the art catering facilities. This state of the art Leisure Centre comprises of a 25.5 metre pool with a constant temperature of 28.5 degrees, a training pool maintained at 30.5 degrees, a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Donegal Donkey Sanctuary
Located in Raphoe, call in and visit the donkeys throughout the year. Open Monday – Saturday 11.30am – 4.30am and Sundays 1.30pm – 5pm. There is also a visitor’s centre so you will have plenty to see on your visit.
